LLS Fundraiser

Managing Partner, Stephanie Soldner, is a candidate for Woman of the Year, a fundraising initiative for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She got involved with the campaign because she wanted to make an impact on cancer. She and her team, The HemaHeroes are especially motivated by the work that LLS is doing to develop safer cancer treatments for children, so they don’t have to suffer chronic illnesses once in remission. “I am proud to be associated with LLS because it is an organization that is making an impact with the dollars it raises.”

For ten weeks, starting on April 7th and ending June 16th, community leaders across Northwestern Ohio are raising awareness of the research, programs, and advocacy being conducted through LLS in addition to funds to support their mission to cure blood cancers.

LLS’s work is changing the lives of 1.2 million Americans living with blood cancer.  In fact, the treatments that LLS are funding benefit ALL cancer patients.  More than 40% of the new cancer treatment drugs approved by the FDA since 2005 started as blood cancer drugs but are now being applied in other forms of cancer.
